The route via Bhangel village towards Noida from Greater Noida and Dadri is the worst traffic-affected stretch in the city. The two-way road that connects Noida to Dadri witnesses traffic snarls every day.
The Noida Authority, that has been receiving complaints for a proper traffic system at this stretch, has now decided to develop an elevated road. Heavy trucks loaded with goods that are being carried to or from Noida Special Economic Zone (NSZE), commercial buses and cars always block the main road on both sides.
Rama Raman, chairman, Noida Authority, said that the authority is working on the plan of constructing an elevated road to ensure a smooth traffic.
He also informed that the much-awaited multi-level parking at sector 18 would be soon completed. He said that the designs have been sent for approval over the eight-floor parking. A developer will be finalised by February 2014.
The multi level parking facility to be developed on a vacant plot opposite Radisson Hotel at a cost of Rs 150 crore will be the biggest such facility in Delhi-NCR.
The Delhi airport has five-floor parking, while the Noida parking facility will have eight floors. It would work manually and accommodate a total of 3,960 cars. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months.
