Attempt to loot ATM foiled, one arrested

Police on Tuesday foiled a bid to loot an ATM in Uttam Nagar area in west Delhi and managed to apprehend one of the two culprits involved in the act. Vinay (20), a resident of Najafgarh area, was nabbed, while his partner managed to flee, as an alert PCR team rushed to the spot after receiving information that the two were trying to breaking an ATM, at 1.55 am. “PCR Van, MPV (P-49) was given this call following which SI (driver) Prakash Singh and SI Ram Kishan rushed to the spot and found that two persons were breaking the ATM machine. As soon as they spotted the police, one of them shouted and managed to flee,” said ACP (Operations) Ranvir Singh.
