Ashutosh Karnatak to be Gail Director (Projects)

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has approved GAIL (India) Ltd Executive Director (Projects) Ashutosh Karnatak as the company’s new director (projects). Karnatak, who moved from ONGC to GAIL in its formative years, has been involved in key trunk pipeline projects like Dabhol-Bangalore, Dahej-Vijaipur, Dahej-Uran and Dabhol-Panvel, as well as the Dabhol LNG terminal and LPG Gandhar gas processing plant.

He is currently guiding a team of 250 executives involved in pipeline projects worth more than Rs 20,000 crore. Karnatak holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering from HBTI (Kanpur), MTech in Energy Studies from IIT (Delhi)-gold medalist, MBA in Finance from IGNOU and PhD in Management from UPES (Dehradun).
