Asha’s daughter commits suicide

Varsha Bhosle, a daughter of the well-known playback singer Asha Bhosle, committed suicide at their Peddar Road residence in Mumbai on Monday, the police said. She was 56. According to the police, Bhosle shot herself in the head twice at around 12:30 pm. Officials said that she shot herself with a licensed weapon. However, they said facts will have to be verified. Even as police were investigating the matter, they have not found anything that might ascertain the cause of the suicide. No suicide note has been found yet.
