Arun Maira-led panel to select NMDC chairman

The Steel Ministry has named a five-member committee, headed by Planning Commission Member Arun Maira, to select the NMDC chairman.
'We have sent the authorisation letter to the head of the search Committee entrusted with the task of selecting Chairman of NMDC ,’ said a source.
It will soon come out with newspaper advertisements inviting interested candidates to apply for the position,' he added.
The panel will have Steel Secretary D R S Chaudhary and Personnel Secretary P K Mishra. Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verm said in December that the process of constitution of the search committee has already been initiated. NMDC is without a permanent CMD since retirement of its head on December 31, 2011.
