AP CM to visit Singapore

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be leading a high-level delegation to Singapore to attract investment.

Beginning Tuesday, it would be his first foreign visit after becoming the chief minister for the second time.

Former prime minister of Singapore Goh Chok Tong, during his visit here on 8 September, had extended invitation to Naidu to visit the city-state, while saying that Singapore was interested in investing in ports, airports, tourism and industrial sector in Andhra Pradesh.

Singapore has also offered assistance for the construction of the new capital, besides developing ‘smart cities’.

Among other things, Naidu and his team will inspect the waste-water treatment system in Singapore which the government wants to bring to Andhra Pradesh, official sources said.
