Terming the killing of two Indian soldiers by the Pakistan army as ‘demoralising’ for the Indian armed forces, the Shiv Sena on Wednesday demanded the resignation of defence minister A K Antony.
‘Why do we need such a defence minister if such incidents happen? The Shiv Sena and the entire country want Antony’s resignation. He must quit,’ said party MP and spokesperson Sanjay Raut.
He also urged India to give a fitting reply to Pakistan.
‘If they killed two of our solders, we should reply by killing 40 of their soldiers,’ Raut said.
Raut said that if such unprovoked and brutal attacks took place during peace time, it could demoralise Indian soldiers and they would not be able to fight during an actual war.
