A team of Noida Authority on Monday removed illegal constructions and encroachment from about two lakh square metres of land at Hindon River bed along Greater Noida west. Officials said the land mafia had encroached plots at Lakhanwali village, which falls under Hindon river bed.
The special anti-encroachment drive was conducted on Monday on directions of Noida Authority CEO, Rama Raman. ‘We have razed illegal construction on about 2 lakh square metres of land. We have also registered FIR against the culprits’, said an authority official.
He further said, ‘the colonisers had developed illegal structures along Hindon river-bed and sold it to customers as housing plots through massive advertisement campaign on television, newspapers and internet.
