Anti-corruption plank: AAP MLA’s posters indicative of poll strategy

In an indication to make corruption in government offices a poll plank yet again in the next Delhi assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia has displayed posters in the Patparganj constituency. Those posters ask people not to bribe officials for acquiring basic facilities like water and sewage connections.
Posters were spotted in the constituency, where the sitting MLA claimed that sewage problem in some of his areas will be solved in coming days. The MLA, via posters, informed people as to how one should apply for sewage connections. He asked people not to offer bribes to any concerned official or middleman.
The applicant can collect the form the E-block office at Preet Vihar office or they can download the application form from Delhi Jal Board web site. Also the applicant has to submit an attached copy of ration card, property documents with other relevant documents. The poster further highlighted that how to get the rebate.
Sisodia said, ‘We will provide help to people in the area. There is a need to address issues of corruption. Once the applicant submits the application, then he can come to us for further assistance. There is no need to offer bribes to any of the official or middleman.’
The constituency covers Indraprastha Extension, Mayur Vihar I and II, DDA flats, Mandavali, Vinod Nagar and Patparganj. People living in the area have complained of a lack of basic civic amenities such as maintenance of sewer lines, garbage and the lack of clean drinking water.
