Ansal varsity adopts Trans Disciplinary Learning

Ansal University in Gurgaon has adopted the Trans-disciplinary Learning (TDL) approach across all its academic programmes. They are hoping to receive applications from more than 1000 students, a 25 per cent increase from last year’s figure of 850.
Courses in Petroleum Engineering, Paramedical and Forensic Sciences, Travel and Tourism, Legal Studies, Fashion and Jewellery Designing are also being planned in the near future. A Bachelor of Commerce(Hons) degree course has been introduced this year. There will be special focus on promoting research-based academic approach in various MPhil and PhD programmes.
Ansal University currently offers 42 undergraduate and post-graduate programmes, spread across 8 schools offering various disciplines ranging from Engineering and Technology, Management Studies, International Studies, Computer Applications, Applied Sciences as well as Humanities and Languages.
Several new courses like Master in Architecture with specialisation in Urban Planning, B.Sc Hons in Industrial Chemistry, Statistics, Engineering and Physics, a six month CFPCM Certification (Certified Financial Planner Plan (Bachelor in Planning) and a four year B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) course with specialisation in painting and fine arts were introduced in the last year.
According to Dr. CS Nagpal, Vice Chancellor, ‘It will be our endeavor to make the futuristic trans-disciplinary learning approach all pervasive across our academic programmes.’
