Ansal Univ holds interactive session with Dabang Delhi team

Ansal University, the educational arm of the real-estate developer Ansal API, played host to the Dabang Delhi Kabbadi team at the campus on Friday. The team and their coach were present as part of an educational tour to the university and to create awareness about the home-grown sport.
The kabbadi players, accompanied by team captain Jasmer Singh and the coach, Arjun Singh could be seen engaging with students in an interactive session, holding on-the-spot quiz competition and giving away prizes to the lucky winners.
Dr C S Nagpal, Vice Chancellor, Ansal University said: ‘The youth of today are much aware and open when it comes to playing sports. We have witnessed an increase in student’s interest ever since the Pro-Kabbadi League was initiated on national television. We feel honored in organising this interaction between the students of Ansal University and the Dabang Delhi Kabbadi team. Despite being a home grown sport, in most parts of our country, the popularity of kabbadi gets overshadowed by other (western) sports. This interaction was an encouraging platform for the students to take pride in home grown sports and invest their capabilities in promoting it.’
