Another senior MHA official sent back to his cadre

A senior official working in the Home Ministry has been sent back to his cadre - Railways Ministry - without any reason being cited, more than a fortnight after the repatriation of senior IAS officer <g data-gr-id="28">Pravir</g> Kumar to his state cadre Uttar Pradesh.
The competent authority has approved the premature repatriation of Ashok Kumar Pavadia, a 1980 batch officer of Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), working as Adviser in <g data-gr-id="29">Inter State</g> Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs to his parent cadre, i.e. Ministry of Railways, an order issued by Personnel Ministry said.
<g data-gr-id="24">Pavadia</g> was appointed to the post in January this year.
Last month, Kumar, a 1982 batch IAS officer, was sent back to his state cadre Uttar Pradesh within one month of his appointment in Home Ministry. He was working as Secretary in <g data-gr-id="27">Inter State</g> Council Secretariat in the Home Ministry.
The transfer in the Home Ministry has been making news <g data-gr-id="26">for past</g> over one month. On September 1, Additional Secretary Anant Kumar Singh, from Uttar Pradesh cadre, in the Home Ministry was shifted to Petroleum Ministry as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, only eight months after he had come on a central deputation.
The government had also replaced L C Goyal by Rajiv Mehrishi as Home Secretary on August 31. Goyal was barely seven months in the office, which has two-year fixed tenure. Interestingly, <g data-gr-id="30">Mehrishi</g> was appointed to the post on the day he was due to superannuate.
