Another dies in Haryana police recruitment drive, toll mounts to three

Two men had lost their lives last week during physical examination tests here. Bhupinder Singh of village Kathura in Sonipat was rushed to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narain Hospital late Wednesday evening, after he fell unconscious during a long race in the police recruitment test, police said.

After preliminary examination he was referred to PGIMER at Chandigarh, where he died during treatment, Chief Medical Officer Kurukshetra, Dr SK Nain said on Thursday.

He said as many as 16 youths who were taking part in the ongoing police recruitment drive here were admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after complaining of extreme exhaustion.
