Another Delhi Police constable commits suicide

A 42-year-old Delhi Police constable hanged himself from a ceiling fan in Lahori Gate area, North delhi on Thursday evening. The deceased has been identified as Netram Yadav.
According to the police, they received a call from PCR at 6.11 pm stating that the constable has hanged himself from a ceiling fan using a cable fire. Police official said: “He was a native of Alwar, Rajasthan and was posted in the South Zone PCR. His body has been sent for the post-mortem to Aruna Asif Ali hospital”.
Police also initiated a probe under Section 176 CrPC and they have not found any suicide note from the possession of the deceased constable.
Another 29-year-old Delhi police constable shot himself at a police booth situated on the Roshnara road of North Delhi’s Subzi Mandi area on Wednesday. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Kailash.
The incident took place at around 10 am. Preliminary investigation suggested that Kailash, also a native of Rajasthan returned after a two day leave. Police said that they got information about the incident at 3pm. A senior police official added: “We found that Kailash had shot himself in the forehead with his service pistol. He has been shifted to the nearest morgue for post mortem.”
Kailash, a 2010 batch pass out was posted as a PSO as a witness in a murder case. He is survived by his wife and two children.
