Nearly 40 volunteers of Anna Hazare’s recently-launched non-political outfit Jantantra Morcha met on Wednesday at Jantar Mantar to fight corruption, a volunteer said.
‘This is our first meeting in the capital after the launch of the Jantantra Morcha. It was presided over by Sunita Godara,’ a volunteer said.
Sunita Godara, a former Indian marathon runner and member of Hazare’s coordination committee, asked volunteers to mobilise youths to join the Jantantra Morcha.
At the three-hour meeting, volunteers discussed their next course of action to strengthen the movement.
At Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Bihar, Hazare Jan 30 announced that he would form the Jantantra Morcha to fight for people’s rights and work for people’s causes.
