A week after Anmol Sarna (20), an NRI student was murdered in Kalkaji area in the capital, Delhi police is likely to book Anmol’s friends for murder.
The four friends — Praneel, Rhytham, Shivang and Madhav — have been booked under sections 27 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act on Sunday in the case. On 13 September, all five friends including Anmol planned to consume drugs at Praneel’s South Park Apartment.
‘Blood stains were found in the Praneel’s apartment. They have purchased and consumed banned substances that perhaps took Anmol’s life. On the basis of this, the four friends can be booked under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code,’ the official added. On Friday ,when the bail plea of all the four accused was being heard at Saket court, the investigating police officer said, ‘We are investigating the case focusing on busting the drug racket that is active in Delhi-NCR.
Three persons — Bhuvan, Nehul and Dushyant have been arrested from Noida.’
Keeping the ongoing investigation in mind, the court has rejected their bail plea.
