Amla fastest to 4000-run mark in ODIs

Playing his 83rd match, Amla took 81 innings to get to the milestone beating Sir Vivian Richards who got to the landmark in 88 innings in 96 matches. Amla was also the quickest batsman to reach the 2000 (41 matches, 40 innings) and the 3000-run landmark (59 matches, 57 innings) in ODIs. Predominantly known as a Test batsman. On Sunday, Amla’s 12th ODI century came off 116 balls.
