Ambika Soni, Selja eligible for Type-VII houses: HC told

The Rajya Sabha secretariat on Thursday told the Delhi High Court that Congress MPs Ambika Soni and Kumari Selja were eligible for only Type-VII houses but not the Type-VIII bungalows they are now occupying. As the Centre sought that the two MPs, both former Union Ministers, should vacate the bungalows, the Congress leaders contended that as per the allotment letters issued to them, they could hold the accommodation for a month after their term as MP expired or after retirement while accusing the BJP-led govt of "<g data-gr-id="10">malafide</g>" against opposition members.
