Delhi Pollution Control Committee collected ambient air quality data from 74 locations in the national Capital on Friday.
Mobile teams of Delhi Pollution Control Committee collected air quality data to check the levels of Particulate Matter (PM) 2.5 and PM 10 to ascertain air pollution levels. Friday’s data show a declining trend in air pollution in both PM 2.5 and PM 10 levels.
PM 2.5 levels were recorded within permissible limit (below 60) at 55 out of 74 locations. Apart from this, the other areas recorded PM 2.5 below 100.
PM 10 levels were also recorded within permissible limit (below100) at 21 of the 74 locations. However, at 53 locations PM 10 was recorded below 200.
In addition to this, the data from six fixed stations is always available in the public domain on the Delhi Pollution Control Committee website. Initial trends show Odd-Even will have a positive impact on Delhi’s air quality, however, officials said that a concrete assessment will be made after assessing the data for a few more days.
