All private schools in Tamil Nadu to remain closed on 7 Oct

All private schools in the state will remain closed on 7 October to protest against the conviction of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa in a disproportionate assets case.
In a release on Sunday, secretary of the Federation of Associations of private schools, Elango demanded the release of Jayalalithaa.
In Srivilliputhur, hundreds of AIADMK volunteers held a ‘human chain’ agitation demanding release of their party leader.
