AIR to join hands with BBC, ABC to air ‘STUMPED’

The All India Radio (AIR) in association with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) will be co-producing and broadcasting a new 24-part series titled “STUMPED”. This weekly programme will be aired on All India Radio’s FM Rainbow network every Saturday from October 31, 2015 at 11.30 am.

It will also be broadcast by the General Overseas Service of External Services Division of All India Radio every Saturday details of its broadcast would be available on its Facebook page airworldservice. 

Live streaming of this programme on AIR’s Mobile App can also be enjoyed by cricket lovers on their mobiles.

The programme is intended to be a weekly guide for international cricket followers to bring the listeners up-to-date with major issues and stories in the cricketing world. The programme will be irreverent and humorous with a lively debate between three noted sports presenters — Charu Sharma on behalf of AIR, along with Alison Mitchell of BBC and Jim Maxwell of ABC.

Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne will feature in the opening episode of “STUMPED”. Listeners in India can send their feedback and suggestions regarding the programme to stumped2015@gmail.com.
