Ai to launch night flight between Kolkata & Port Blair

Air India is set to launch regular weekly flights on the Kolkata – Port Blair route with effect from February 25, 2016. The charter flight AI 3707 will depart from Kolkata at 2100 hours and is scheduled to arrive at Port Blair at 2300 hours. 

The return flight AI3708 will leave Port Blair at 2340 hours and will land back in Kolkata at 0125 hours. Air India, in fact, had pioneered night landing operations in Port Blair, by carrying out Safety Risks Assessment through a test flight to check the viability of the night operations to Port Blair. 

This move of Air India to operate a charter flight for the Andaman and Nicobar administration would benefit the Islanders by improving their connectivity to and from the mainland.
