Air India will operate a flight daily on the Delhi-Surat route from February 1 instead of flying four days a week now to meet the growing demand. Earlier, the government-run airline had curtailed the services to four flights per week from six per week. Air India has decided to enhance frequency on the Delhi- Surat sector from four days to seven days with effect from February 1, an statement from the airline said. The Delhi-Surat route is serviced by a 67-seater regional jet, CRJ.
Delhi-Surat-Delhi Air India flight is highly popular among textile and diamond businessmen and provides seamless connectivity between two business cities, the airline said. Besides, the flight also offers convenient connections to other international flights from/to Delhi, it said.Â
