AI diverts flight to help ailing passenger

Air India rose to the occasion once again to come to the aid of a passenger who suddenly required medical attention 30,000 ft above ground.
AI307 en route to Delhi from Tokyo made a non-scheduled landing at Kolkata NSCBI airport at 4.40 pm on Saturday. This was done to provide immediate medical aid to a pregnant woman passenger who suddenly developed complications during the flight.
Team Air India mobilised all resources and showing exemplary commitment coordinated to rush the passenger to a nearby hospital immediately after the flight landed.
All the while the Commander was in touch with Air India doctors on ground through Satcom.
Ambulances were kept ready along with Air India doctors, customs and immigration was expedited and Air India employees accompanied to the ailing passenger and her husband and ensured prompt admission to the hospital.
The flight later took off for Delhi after offloading baggage of the passengers.
The passenger is out of danger and in a stable condition now. The incident reiterates Air India’s dedication towards its passenger in distress on ground or on board.
