After Tomar, aap mla’s degree under scanner

A day after Delhi Police arrested Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former law minister Jitender Tomar, the noose is likely to tighten around AAP MLA Surender Singh from Delhi Cantt constituency over fake degree charges. Singh got a notice from high court on May 20 for possessing a fake degree. Former BJP MLA Karan Singh Tanwar had filed a plea in the Delhi high court. According to Tanwar, “Surender Singh gave wrong information in his affidavit that he did his graduation in BA from the Sikkim University in 2012.” However, Sikkim University had rejected his claim, an RTI query revealed. Singh has claimed innocence and added that he has all the documents to prove the case and also dismissed the petition as “politically motivated”.
