After funding Tehelka, KD Singh organises workshop for rape survivors in Jamia Millia

TMC Rajya Sabha MP Kanwar Deep Singh, who was one of the main promoters of Tehekla, has distanced himself from the organisation after the controversy regarding the magazine’s founder Tarun Tejpal. Singh has now claimed that he is no more associated with the magazine. TMC spokesperson Derek O’Brien tweeted: ‘KD Singh just clarified to me ‘I am not the owner of Tehelka. I have nothing to do with the publication.’ KD Singh’s reaction came at a time when West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has strongly condemned the incident.  Meanwhile, the KD Singh Foundation, along with Jamia Millia Islamia University, on Saturday organised a fine arts workshop for rape survivors on the occasion of ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women’. our correspondent
