Afghani national stabs Uzbeki woman to death

A 35-year-old Uzbekistani woman was stabbed to death by her Afghanistani colleague in south Delhi’s Kalkaji area during the wee hours of Saturday. The accused was nabbed by the police.

The deceased has been idnetified as Maya who lives in J-Block of Kalkaji area at a rented accommodation. She had shifted at this house, two months ago. She works at a call centre in Delhi.

On the day of the incident, her friend, identified as Raza (30) came to meet her. They consumed alcohol after which a conversation over persona issue turned into a heated argument. In the meantime, Raza brought a kitchen knife and threatened to stab her.

The woman did not show any fear despite being threatened with a knife which further enraged Raza as he went on to stab her half-a-dozen times in her chest.
