ACP with Special Cell shoots self in Noida

An ACP posted with Special Cell of Delhi Police committed suicide on Monday by shooting himself with his service revolver. His wife too jumped from the sixth floor of their apartment in Noida Sector 100. She has been admitted to a private hospital in a critical condition. The deceased, Amit Singh, was a DANIP (subordinate police service officer) of 2010 batch and was posted in South Western range of Delhi Police’s ATS. In 2014, he was involved in a case of road rage in South Delhi where he was badly assaulted. Singh is survived by a two-year-old child.
