ABVP, YAC protest against Cong and DU

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Youth Against Corruption (YAC) on Tuesday organised a huge demonstration raising slogans against the Congress government and the policies of the DU administration. The youth organisations marched from North Campus’ Arts faculty and covered several colleges on the way. The march finally culminated back at the Arts faculty.

Addressing the students, the YAC national convener Sunil Bansal said, ‘The Congress government has broken all records of corruption. Constantly rising inflation has made the life of the common man miserable but the government is only bothered about the interests of the big corporates and the rich.’

‘This government is also shielding those who have stashed huge amounts of black money abroad, he alleged. Umesh Dutt , ABVP’s national general secretary said, ‘In Delhi University, the representatives of the corrupt UPA government have become so autocratic that the students are not taken into confidence before taking any policy decision, including the decision to implement the semester system or the four years graduation programme. The misery of common students has grown because of the extra year that they are going to spend pursuing graduation.’
