ABVP activist alleges manhandling

A Jawaharlal Nehru University student, who is an ABVP activist, alleged of manhandling inside her hostel room by a Left-aligned students group. According to the girl, she was insulted and her belongings were thrown out by a group of students.

“The Left activists residing in the same hostel threw her belongings in the corridor and pasted a poster “Reject ABVP” on the wall of her room. She got scared and called me to explain the whole incident that took place inside the dormitory,” said Saurabh Sharma, Joint Secretary, JNUSU. “As the Joint Secretary, JNUSU, I strongly condemn such activities. Similar activates have been registered in past too, therefore we demand a faire probe into the matter,” Sharma said. “We are going to lodge our protest before the Vice-Chancellor demanding an action against those who has committed such activity on the campus,” Sharma added.
