Absconding miscreant, accomplice arrested

Two men have been arrested for allegedly being involved in over 20 criminal cases such as  murder, dacoity, robbery and burglary, police said on Tuesday. 

In May, Satbir and Sonu were arrested by the Najafgarh police. On May 31, they pushed the policemen and managed to escape. Sonu was apprehended after a few days.

On June 1, a Special <g data-gr-id="28">Team</g> received information that Satbir, along with his associate Ricky, would come at <g data-gr-id="29">Roshanpura</g> Colony in Najafgarh for treatment. A trap was laid and Satbir and Ricky were arrested after they de-boarded from an RTV. Two country-made pistols and live cartridges were seized from their possession, police said.

“Satbir told the police that he could not complete his studies due to poor economic conditions and started committing crime at an early age. He was arrested in 2009 in <g data-gr-id="31">Chhawla</g> in a burglary case. 

Soon, he came in contact with some miscreants, including Sonu and Ricky, and they committed several cases of dacoity, robbery, burglary and theft. Satbir said he committed the crimes to  earn easy money to lead a lavish life. Earlier, he was arrested in nine cases, including the murder of Harish Mukhija, a bad character in the Najafgarh area,” a senior police official said.
