About 300 cops at IGI airport

Close to 300 personnel from Delhi Police are deployed at IGI airport while 200 are deputed at Metro stations, Rajya Sabha was informed on Wednesday.
‘The number of Delhi police personnel posted at IGI airport and Delhi Metro stations as on 31 December 2012 is 296 and 200 respectively,’ Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappally Ramachandran said in a written reply.
CISF personnel posted at IGI airport and Metro stations are responsible for the security of these establishments, whereas the duties of Delhi Police personnel are confined to investigation of crime occurring there, he said.
