AAP violated rules in summoning Budget Session: BJP

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijendra Gupta, on Wednesday, alleged that Aam Aadmi Party government has violated rules in summoning Budget Session. He demanded the government to reschedule the session and follow the procedures.

“As per the rule, a member of the house is informed 12 days in advance for <g data-gr-id="29">introduction</g> of questions, private member bills and proposals. The government has not informed the MLAs about the budget session scheduled from June 23,” said Vijender Gupta. He also alleged that Arvind Kejriwal claims to follow rules and regulations but in his leadership Delhi government is hell bent to break rules and regulations in the city.

“Even the secretary of Delhi Legislative Assembly has not been informed in writing about the session. It lacks faith in democratic values. When contacted, Delhi Legislative Assembly Secretary confirmed that he had not received any written communication. It is only through media that
members and officers are coming to know of the proposed budget session,” added Gupta.
