AAP tops list of poll code violators in city

According to the latest data, a total of 2,927 cases of violations of the model code of conduct have been reported and 344 FIRs have been lodged. The party leads the list of poll code violators with 90 cases registered against it. The Bharatiya Janata Party faces 75 cases, the Congress 60 and the Bahujan Samaj Party 23.
Senior AAP leaders were unavailable for comment on why was the political party leading on this front.
The chief electoral officer has issued instructions that all complaints should be disposed and action take report should be ready within 24 hours of receiving the complaints. The returning officer’s have also been instructed to take action accordingly by 5 pm on same day to dispose of all such complaints.
