Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is likely to launch its signature campaign against the government from Wednesday onwards. The party leader and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on 3 August at Jantar Mantar served a one-week ultimatum to Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung and the Central government asking them to dissolve Delhi assembly and hold fresh polls.Â
The ultimatum ended on Sunday. The party leaders said that if their demand would not be met then the party MLAs along with other leaders will launch a signature campaign against the government. Â
In a bid to make the campaign a success, the party is making a team of minimum 10 party workers at every booth in national capital. There are around 11,300 booths in 70 constituencies in Delhi. With this step party is looking to reach out to maximum voters in Delhi to put pressure on the government to hold fresh polls.Â
‘We will launch our signature campaign from Wednesday. AAP is looking to make a team of one lakh volunteers who will cover these 11,300 booths in Delhi. In 24 constituencies we have completed this work. In other 25 constituencies around 90 per cent of  work has been completed, while in other seats 30 constituencies, 40 per cent work has been completed,’ said Sanjay Singh, senior AAP leader.
‘We want to reach and convey our message to the voters that how BJP and Congress have been cheating Delhi and its people. We will expose them via this campaign. Earlier, we have done the similar campaign which have been successful’, said Singh. AAP earlier announced ‘Mission Vistar’ to expand its base.
