AAP threatens agitation in UP over party worker’s murder

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday gave one week ultimate to Uttar Pradesh government to arrest the accused who allegedly killed their party worker along with his son in Baghpat recently.

The party said it will start agitation in Uttar Pradesh against the lawlessness in the state and failure
of the government to curb it. Senior party leader Sanjay Singh, in a press conference told the reporters that one of their party workers in Baoli village in Baghpat was killed after he exposed corruption in local gram panchayat.

Singh further said that local village head conspired against him and killed him along with his son, while other family members were also severely injured in the incident.

He alleged that police filed the case against seven accused, but only two have been arrested so far, while other are still at large.

‘This is complete failure of the state government to take action against the criminals. ‘It seems that there is no law and order in the state,’ said Sanjay.

Meanwhile, party again reiterated its demand for fresh elections in Delhi. Senior party leader Yogendra Yadav said that there is no possibility of forming a government in Delhi.

‘In such a political scenario, elections are the only alternative. Citizens of Delhi have a right to get an elected government’, Yadav argued.
