AAP supporters ‘deal’ with rift within

Not only is the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) struggling to deal with the civil war within itself, its ranks and files too have been divided post the expulsion of Yogendra Yadav and Shanti Bhushan from the party’s highest decision making body – the Political Affairs Committee (PAC).

“Why is Kejriwal allowing Dilip Pandey to make such remarks? Nobody knows Sanjay Singh, Manish Sisodia or Dilip Pandey. People know only Arvind Kejriwal, Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan,” said Pradeep Sharma, an ardent AAP supporter.

“I have been a regular donor to the party and I am deeply saddened by the state of affairs. The party is straying from its goals. It shows that Admiral Ramdas was correct about the group-division within the party. I feel let down. I never elected anyone from the PAC or NE. My voice and thousands of such other patriotic voices were never heard. What a tragedy,” said Shoaib, an AAP supporter.

“If you lose Yogendra Yadav, you will lose a great politician, a thinker, and a great visionary. This is a very critical time, kindly, consider it seriously,” urged Ashan Javad Khan, another AAP supporter.

While, Ish Nijhawan, a disheartened AAP supporter said: “Dear Kejriwal, it is time for you to introspect before it’s too late. The arrogance of a few members especially that Sanjay Singh, despite your warnings is forcing people to leave AAP. Don’t ignore Ramdas’s views.”

“Course correction is needed. Let the party grow, if we are making small mistakes forgive us,” said Anand Kumar, a senior AAP leader. He further said: “Messages are flowing in, urging AAP to keep the family together and to remember the message propagated by the party.”
