AAP raises over Rs 20 lakh during fund raising lunch in Greater Kailash

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) raised around Rs 20 lakh on Sunday in their fund-raising lunch on Sunday in the posh Greater Kailash. 

The lunch, second one in the city, and associated interaction with party convener Arvind Kejriwal was held at the Panchshila Club in Panchsheel Park. The party hosted the guest for a minimum of Rs 20,000 per person. The lunch was organised by the Greater Kailash unit of the party and as many as 150 guest attended the event. 

Arvind Kejriwal, while interacting with the guests promised to work for the betterment of the city and reduce the rate of electricity and water again if AAP come to the power.

“The lunch was attended by the local citizens of Greater Kailash area. Among them 70 per cent were professionals who work in multinational companies while 30 per cent were local traders,” senior AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj, who is also an outgoing party MLA from the area told Millennium Post over the phone. 

He further said the locals have assured us of full support during the upcoming assembly polls. 
Kejriwal arrived at the event with other senior party leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh around 12.30 pm. The party convenor also asked for suggestions and feedbacks from the guest.  

“The names of all the donors along with the amount donated by them will be displayed on the party website,” Bhardwaj added.
Meanwhile the Aam Aadmi Party is planing to organise series of tea parties in the national Capital to raise funds ahead of polls. 

“The entry fee per head for tea parties will range from Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000. It will take place in all the assembly constituencies of the Capital. It will also provide with an opportunity to interact with the voters at the grass root level. We are expecting women to participate in a large number, ” said Bhardwaj.
