AAP nat’l council meet today

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national council will meet on Wednesday. The party is likely to elect the new ‘national executive’ in the meeting. AAP national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is expected to spell out the party’s vision for the future.

The party will discuss the upcoming Punjab elections. AAP is preparing to contest elections in Punjab and Goa in 2017. Subsequently, it will move to other states. “We are getting reports from various persons and will take a call on which state we should move to next in a short while,” said a senior party member.

Kejriwal is likely to target BJP for its interference in state affairs with relation to President’s rule in Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and its failure to push the economy. He may also raise the issue of farmers’ deaths in drought-hit Maharashtra, said a party source.
