It was clarified that the subsidy of 50 per cent given in power on the consumption of up to 400 units will also continue at least till 31 March.
The meeting was attended by the chief secretary, principal secretaries, head of departments, commissioners of municipal corporations, chairman of NDMC and chief executive officers CEO of Delhi Jal Board, Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board and CMDs of different corporations under the jurisdiction of the Delhi government.
Jung emphasised that with the imposition of President’s Rule in Delhi, senior officers of the administration should ensure that all steps are taken for speedy delivery of various services and provide good governance to citizens of Delhi.
‘Jung has ordered the finance department to prepare a vote on account for the first two quarters of the next financial year. The cost to exchequer for continuing power subsidy is likely to be included in the interim budget of Delhi,’ said a senior Delhi government official.
The Lt Governor directed that Public Grievance Management System, launched recently, should continue to function at Delhi Secretariat and all the officers should ensure that the grievances are settled in time-bound manner. Jung also directed that anti-corruption campaign should continue.
