AAP condemns attack on Sori

The AAP on Monday condemned the dastardly attack on its leader Soni Sori in Chhattisgarh. The party alleged that the Chhattisgarh government has utterly failed to curb the Maoist rebels and is hiding its dismal failure by giving the police a free hand to fake cases of surrenders and encounters.

“Sori had strongly taken up the case of the fake encounters perpetrated by the local police under BJP Chief Minister Raman Singh. 

She and her team began receiving threats from the moment an inquiry was ordered. 

“Her legal team, Advocate Shalini Gera and Isha Khandelwal were served eviction notices after their landlords were called in for questioning by the police,” said senior AAP leader Ashutosh.

“Attack on Soni Sori is another attempt to muzzle the voice of dissent. One might disagree with one’s views but this is no way to deal with,” said Ashutosh.
