AAP claims to have ‘proof’ to nail PM Modi’s lies on DU degree

AAP demanded for an immediate investigation into the matter. The party claimed that between 1975 and 1980 only one Narendra Modi graduated from Delhi University and he is not Narendra Damodardas Modi.

 

His name is registered as Narendra Kumar Modi, his father’s name is Mahavir Prasad Modi, and unlike the Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi who was born on September 17, 1950, he was born on October 19, 1958. The party further said his address is 21, Arya Nagar, Alwar Rajasthan and he still continues to live there.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said PM Modi had lied to the nation on his educational qualification. “Modiji lied in his election affidavit that he had done BA and MA from Delhi and Gujarat. But in our investigation we have not found any records about Modi. The PM should not have cheated the nation which gave him such a huge mandate,” he added.

“AAP, with all gravity, declares that Modi’s degree from Delhi University that was published in the Times of India on May 4 appears to be forged and we demand that there should be an immediate investigation to get to the bottom of this murky mess of lies and criminal forgery,” said senior AAP leader Ashutosh in a press conference.

The Chief Public Information Officer of Delhi University failed to provide any details regarding the PM’s degree to AAP leaders who sought the information on behalf of CM Arvind Kejriwal, based on the order of the CIC.

“AAP is certain that if the PMO itself shared this forged degree then we cannot expect any further clarification from there. Hence, AAP has filed two RTIs with the Delhi University – one asking if the degree published in the Times Of India, May 4, 2016 is fake or genuine and a second asking for all documents from admission to convocation related to that degree. While it might be possible to forge a degree, it would be very difficult to change historic registers of the University. A mere glance at them will expose the truth of any degree,” said Ashutosh.

“The investigation into the allegedly fake degree of the PM should be carried out in the same way and he should be taken to the Delhi University and made to identify the offices, classrooms, examination halls, teachers, exactly the way MLA Jitender Singh Tomar was asked to do so,” said AAP leader Ashish Khetan.
