AAP and Congress match-fixing becoming more visible, says BJP

BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain in a press conference on Saturday claimed that the understanding between the Congress and AAP became more visible after no probe was ordered against AAP foreign funding. ‘The ruling party in the Centre is using its B-team (AAP) to take on our prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and I must say that they are not capable of taking Modi ji,’ he said.

On Kejriwal’s repeated efforts to project his party’s image as ‘aam (common)’, Hussain said, ‘It must be noted that before the match-fixing our home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde had announced that the government will probe the source of foreign funding of AAP but now he is silent. There is no probe. Suddenly, what happened to him that he is not giving any statement on AAP funding? Don’t you think that it was a pre planned alliance?’

He said, ‘During their election campaign AAP had promised to put Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit in handcuffs for her alleged involvement for corruption charges against her government. But after coming to power it seems that they have forgot what they had said. They are silent on these issues, which brought them to power.’  While commenting on AAP leader Yogendra Yadav’s dream to see Kejriwal as a Prime Minister, the BJP spokesperson said, ‘Our constitution has given right to the people of India to become the Prime Minister. Every supporter sees his leader as a prospective PM.’

When asked about Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s media interaction, he said, ‘It was done to pave way for Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
