AAP and BJP are day dreaming on power tariff issue: Dikshit

‘The BJP and the AAP have, in fact, taken for granted this issue as the only missile to dislodge the government which has already displayed its credentials and accessibility. Both the parties are day dreaming. Their missile would prove to be failure,’ Dikshit said.
‘Delhi is the only state in the country where round-the-clock reliable, quality and uninterrupted power supply is available. The power tariff in Delhi is much lower than the tariff in all metro cities and NCR towns. The opposition is making false promises as the tariff cannot be changed or amended by the government as Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) has the sole right to decide the tariff, keeping in view the input cost and other factors,’ she said.
Dikshit said that the opposition parties can fulfill their promise only by effecting power cut of about 30 and 50 per cent of the supply. Dikshit asked the Delhiites if they were ready to face up to 50 per cent power cuts.
