AAP accuses BJP of trying to ‘destabilise’ Kejriwal govt

While addressing a press conference, AAP spokesperson and former journalist Ashutosh said that a number of senior BJP leaders, along with a few ‘mediapersons’ backing the move to bring the government down.

The party further alleged that Madan Lal, AAP MLA from Kasturba Nagar, was offered Rs 20 crore to topple the Kejriwal government.

Holding both Congress and BJP responsible for frequent problems in Delhi, such as power tariff hike, law and order issues, politicising the Khirki Extension raid by its law minister, the ruling party blamed them for adding fuel to the fire.

Sanjay Singh, a senior AAP leader, said that the party will start a ‘Pol Khol’ campaign on Tuesday to expose both – BJP and Congress.

‘BJP wants to destabilise the government. We will expose BJP as how under the influence by power distribution companies, party is making bids to topple our government’, Singh said.

‘Even before the government, BJP knew about the power crises that was going to happen in city and were already protesting on the issue’, Singh added.

On the charges of horse-trading, AAP alleged that their MLA Madan Lal was contacted by a person allegedly associated with Arun Jaitley on 7 December, 2013. Though Lal declined to entertain the person, the MLA was again contacted by some people ten days ago with an offer of Rs 20 crore for withdrawing his support from the AAP government.

Now, the ruling party claims that Lal was again contacted three days ago and that the BJP is involved in the matter. Senior party leader Ashutosh alleged that all this is happening under the direction of Arun Jailtey, via his contacts in the media.

‘During the tenure of the last government, NTPC never told BSES that if it didn’t pay dues, it would stop the supply of power,’ Singh added.

‘In Poll Khol campaign, we will bring out the truth about BJP and Congress before Delhiities,’ he said.

AAP targets Adani and Ambani

New Delhi:
Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh said that the people backed by Adani and Ambani groups are behind the plot to topple the Delhi government. He alleged that there are several BJP leaders who are working for the benefit of the Adani and Ambani groups.

Singh raised questions over the reaction to power discoms when told that an audit will be conducted. He said that in such times they have threatened to begin power cuts. When talk was on to replace these discoms, if a power crisis was created, BJP became more proactive and staged a dharna against AAP government.

Delhi BJP president Harsh Vardhan said the fact that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal misled the people of Delhi was now out in the open. In a tweet, Jaitley said: ‘Rubbish claims by AAP. AAP’s alternative politics includes a fundamental right to falsehood and lies.’
