AAI pilots cycle rally to accelerate environment awareness, ‘green Goa’

Gone are the days when only conducting seminar and symposium was the only way to create awareness among the masses.  Recently, AAI has organised a cycle rally to create environment awareness and Green Goa at the time when AAI signed MoU with IATA for comprehensive e-billing solution at Goa.  

This cycle rally jointly organised by AAI and IATA was  concluding activity for the seminar conducted by AAI wherein more than 40 participants from all over India and visiting delegation from IATA (Headquarters)  Geneva took active part. Member (Finance) 

S Suresh emphasised on the importance of environmental issues and creating awareness on Swatch Bharat Abhiyan started by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, , IATA Director E&F Manfred Blondeel, lauded the efforts and initiative taken by AAI in organising the cycle rally for educating and creating awareness in the society and applauded the idea of S Suresh for organising the rally. Before this event, Airport Authority of India also organised a workshop on Airport Information Management System (AIMS) at Goa in which all major AAI airports took parts and the issue of e-billing solution was deliberated for two days in length.  This workshop was inaugurated by S Suresh in the presence of AAI Executive Director (Finance) Rajesh Bhandar,  Executive Director (Air Traffic Management) P K Mishra,  and Executive Director (Information Technology) S V Satish.

At present Airport Authority of India is raising invoices to the tune of Rs 10,000 crore per annum and this system is functional at 96 Airport Authority of India airports across India.  Speaking on the occasion Suresh reiterated the importance of e-billing, transparency, accuracy and timely collection.
