AAI holds novel health care programme at Srinagar Airport

Airports Authority of India’s Srinagar International Airport joined hands with the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir for imparting Week long free Basic Life Support (BLS) training to help in bringing change in people’s lives by adding meaning & significance to their respective lives at Srinagar Airport on Wednesday , 9th November, 2016 and organised Health screening camp on non-communicable diseases(NCD) from 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs commencing with the aim to provide basic health care, awareness in the airport staff and passengers about good & healthy life style.
The BLS & Screening Camp was inaugurated by Regional Executive Director (NR) Shri Rakesh Kalra, Airports Authority of India in presence Shri K. Durga Prasad, Director General, CRPF, Dr Saleem Ur Rehman, Director, Health Kashmir, SSP(AHJ) and Shri Manzoor Dalal, JKP. Shri Rakesh Kalra assured that such type of health camps will be organised in future also at other airports for the benefit of Airport Staff & passengers.
Shri Sharad Kumar, Airport Director, Airports Authority of India, Srinagar Airport, highlighted on emergence of non-communicable diseases as a major burden and importance of life style modification particularly diet and physical activity.
