A nation that was

The four-day photography exhibition Portraits Talk by Aman Chotani showcased a new perspective to learning and art imitating life. Chotani has captured some of his most beautiful pictures in <g data-gr-id="32">Nepal</g> but those images coming from the picturesque country are tragic beyond belief. As the Himalayan nation reels under a devastating natural disaster, the eminent lens-man decided that proceeds from the exhibition will contribute to Nepal’s relief efforts.

The exhibition that was held at India Habitat Centre included 28 photographs and a series of reflections culled out from the photographer’s myriad travel trips, detailing such details as the captured innocence of a child to the vulnerable ruggedness of the people of rural India.

The exhibition that commenced on May 29 was inaugurated by Sandeep Marwah. Aman believes in telling stories through his captured images.

His motto is to travel to beautiful, rusty, adventurous locations to capture untold stories, unseen traditions and unprecedented experiences.

Through this exhibition, Aman has tried to portray his passion for travel and capturing new people in multiple settings. He not just clicks photographs but essentially translates his feelings and reading of a scene through the right shot.

"I take photographs to define my experiences, to capture these moments and share the earth’s most extraordinary places with my friends and all of the aspiring vagabonds and wilderness trekkers that hope to travel one day," says Aman Chotani.

“Nepal is very close to my heart. I have captured some of my best images from Nepal. After the massive devastation in the country, I have decided to donate all the funds we manage to collect at my exhibition to the Nepal Relief Fund. I eagerly want all in Nepal to stand on their feet again. Pray For Nepal." added Chotani.
