A K Srinivasan takes charge as ONGC Director (Finance)

A K Srinivasan on Wednesday took over as the Director (Finance) of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), the nation’s biggest oil and gas explorer.
Srinivasan, 57, took over following “his presidential appointment to the ONGC Board of Directors,” a company press statement said here.
An IIM Bangalore alumnus, he was Executive Director (Finance) in ONGC before being elevated. Starting his professional journey with ONGC as graduate <g data-gr-id="25">trainnee</g> in 1983, he is an accomplished finance professional with experience of over 31 years in upstream oil and gas finance.
“Srinivasan played a pivotal role in international fund raising during the ONGC Videsh bond issue, securing over $ 700 million worth of credits for the overseas subsidiary of ONGC,” the
statement said.
Srinivasan has played <g data-gr-id="26">major</g> role in the acquisition of various oil and gas development projects, Power, Petro-Chemical and capital assets for ONGC. He has also steered critical productivity enhancement projects like the transition from excel based reporting to <g data-gr-id="22">SAP based</g> reporting and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects across ONGC.
In pursuit of excellence, Srinivasan has also undergone various development programs like the Advanced Management Program at IIM Lucknow, Senior Management Program at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Oil and Gas Accounting from University of Texas, Dallas.
