A dozen IAS officers to be transferred

The Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered transfer of dozen of IAS officials from the national capital, including principal power secretary of Delhi Arun Goyal who has been transferred to Mizoram. Goyal is a 1985 batch officer and he was given charge of the power department after President’s rule was implemented.

South Delhi Municipal Commissioner Manish Gupta has also been transferred from Delhi to Andaman & Nicobar Islands, transfer of Gupta was due. Gupta is a 1991 batch IAS officer. Excise Commissioner JB Singh and principal secretary (PWD) Arun Barooka have been transferred to Andaman and Nicobar Islands, while Food and Supplies Commissioner SS Yadav has been transferred to Puducherry. Yadav’s transfer was also due since long. Principal Secretary (Health) Dr SCL Das has been transferred to Andaman & Nicobar Islands. 

S P Dixit, 1999 batch officer, has been transferred to Goa, who is currently posted in the higher and technical education department. Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) of South District Nila Mohannan has been transferred to Goa. Her husband Ameya Ajit Abhyankar, who has been transferred to Goa, is currently Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) of New Delhi. There are several officers from other states who have been brought to Delhi including Keshav Chandra, who is the chief electoral officer in Goa. The orders were issued after being approved at a meeting of joint cadre authority of AGMU cadre officials at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday; Delhi government official’s sources confirmed it.
